Globetotters is a travelled themed class specifically designed with your baby/ tot's development stage in mind, following the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). There's lots of sensory travel themed props and body mapping songs for the youngest class (0-10 months), lots of action songs, music and fun props for the middle class (10-18 months) and interactive stories, songs and activities for the older class (18-36+).
We have three age categories so your baby/tot grows and develops with an age appropriate group from one term to the next. Our age groups are 0-10 months, 10-18 months, 18-36+ months.
Classes are held at Chipping Norton Scout Hall on Thursdays, the renovated Warwick Hall in Burford on Fridays and the Longford Park Community Centre on Mondays from 2nd March.
Class times have been scheduled to fit with school pick-up and drop times for families with older siblings and to fit where possible with nap times and feeding times (although breast and bottle feeding are welcome in class).
18-36+ months: 9.30am
10-18 months: 10.30am
0-10 months: 11.30am
Yes, younger siblings are welcome but both children will remain your sole responsibility during Globetotters sessions . Please get in touch for more information.
Yes, tasters are available on a request basis, are subject to availability and charged at £3.50. Please do bear in mind that babies/ tots can take a few sessions to settle which is why we have 6-week terms.
We also hope to run one-off sessions in between term times. Do get in touch if you would like to put your name down and we can keep you updated
The classes are £45 for a 6-week term but we cover a different country each week so you can come back term after term and learn something new. Classes include refreshments, Globetotters passports and weekly stamps which your Globetotter will keep over the terms and years.
Globetotters is not just about the babies/ tots they're a great way for the (grand)parents/ carers to learn about different countries and cultures whilst bonding with their little ones, having fun and making new friends.
There's also a chance to have a chat before or after class over a drink and biscuit or snack for the little ones.
Just click the "SIGN ME UP!" button below or email email@example.com We will then send you a booking form to complete and bank details for payment. We ask that you pay at the time of signing up to secure your place. However, please let us know if that's not possible.
This class involves lots of interaction between you and your baby. We follow the same theme as the older classes with travel themed songs, music and storytelling but adding lots of sensory props and action songs to help your little one start to explore the world around them. You'll also be learning about the different countries we travel to . It's not just about the little ones.
As your tot starts to become mobile and more inquisitive we introduce movement with music and nurture their interest through travelled themed objects, stories and songs. You will really see your Globetotter change from a baby to a mobile toddler in this age group as they become a lot more involved in activities and keen to explore.
Your Globetotter will be becoming increasingly independent now as their communication, language and social skills develop. Globetotters will get to know and love the travel themed songs each week, join in with the dances, become involved in the interactive stories and even pick up some words in a different language. They really will thrive.
